Nestled in the heart of Tijeras, New Mexico, our market garden thrives through a mix of dedication, organic-inspired practices, and a love for learning. Starting with poor soil, we’ve transformed our land year by year—amending with nutrient-rich alfalfa from our goats and natural fertilizer from our animals. Using heavy mulching to shield crops from the intense New Mexico sun, we battle the elements—wind, scarce rain, hail, frost, and heat—to grow a diverse, ever-expanding harvest. Each season is an experiment in timing, crop selection, and resilience, documented here through pictures that tell the story of our garden’s journey.
