Growing for Pollinators: Our Year-Round Flower Garden in Tijeras
We began planting our flower gardens to create better habitats for our honey bees and other pollinators. Despite ongoing battles with local wildlife like deer, pocket gophers, and squirrels, we keep expanding our flower selections each year. Using a mix of animal-resistant bulbs and seeds, we aim to provide year-round beauty—and food for the bees. In early spring, daffodils bloom bright, transitioning to elegant irises as the weather warms. Summer brings a variety of lilies and scattered roses, while fall dazzles with sunflowers and vibrant native wildflowers. Our gallery captures the colors of every season—feel free to explore!
